DownloadEmber Drift is your ultimate meteor shower almanac, covering 26 meteor streams throughout the year, designed to help you plan nights under the starry sky. The app allows you to view the almanac where meteor streams are grouped by seasons, starting from Quadrantids in January to Ursids at the end of December. You can search for streams by their names or by the constellation from which their meteors appear.
Easily return to the full list by resetting your search. The Streak Dossier feature provides detailed information about each meteor stream, including the constellation it originates from, peak night, active period, expected hourly rates during the peak, meteor speeds, and associated comets or asteroids. Save the meteor streams you wish to observe and keep private notes on observation locations, sky conditions, or any other details you want to remember from your viewing sessions.
The Vigil Roster feature lets you create lists for planned observation nights and organize saved streams around evenings when you are actually available. Zenith Desk helps keep track of the next peak by showing how many nights remain until it arrives, providing a handy reference point when returning to Ember Drift. Customize your Observer Mark with a symbol, track your collection, and view an observation log to see your activity with the latest nights at the top.
Your saved streams, notes, lists, symbols, and observation activity remain accessible as you build your year of stargazing. When you wish to start anew, simply clear personal data and begin again. Ember Drift combines facts about meteor streams, seasonal overviews, observation plans, personal notes, and observation logs into one convenient astronomical assistant, making it a valuable tool for both beginners and experienced astronomers aiming to maximize their meteor watching experience.
